The Client:
My client, a global automotive supplier of advanced technology, systems and components, is looking to expand their team with the appointment of a Process Liaison Technician.

Job Overview:
• To understand the QUALITY FIRST philosophy, ensuring quality standards are achieved in terms of Right First Time (RFT). Ensure that non-conformance is challenged.
• Ensure Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) checks are completed and faults are escalated
• Check and confirm the status of processes throughout the shift referencing the Blue Book, OMS, VIA
• Actively lead and train cycle time/production Kaizen ensuring optimisation of all process
• Actively lead robot/Tool and process improvements by liaising with PEN, OPS, MTN, JTD and external contractors to ensure best practice/Maintained and costed within budget constraints
• Support the team by attending issues without delay, and follow the correct escalation process and provide communication when needed of issues with PEN, JTD, MTN and OPS team
• Actively follow QCO standardised work and report any abnormalities through correct escalation guidelines
• To monitor cycle times report anomalies through escalation.
• To ensure tools, parts, are checked prior to tool change and JIGs etc. and that known issues are actioned and maintained for smooth operation of the section.

The Candidate (Education and Experience):
• Experience of automotive manufacturing and responsiveness to customer needs.
• Minimum of 7 years Moulding experience.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• Engineering qualification
• Vast Experience of injection moulding/Tooling
• Encourages team working and leads by example.
• Experience of trouble shooting and problem solving/Tool trial NPI and complete process setup
• Well rounded knowledge of Moulding Machine ranges from 60t-1300t
• Good plastic polymer understanding
• Experience of automotive manufacturing and responsiveness to customer needs.
• Understanding of lean principles
